Thanksgiving Marathons

Published by zombieralphvamp22 at 12:01 am under horror Edit This

This webmaster hopes that all readers have made the most of their Thanksgiving weekend and that we all got a chance to watch King Kong (1933) for the holiday; those who are lucky enough to have Monsters HD have had a couple of chances to view it Friday and Saturday. In addition to Kong, Son of Kong (1933), Mighty Joe Young (1949), King Kong (1976), and Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (aka Godzilla X Mechagodzilla, 2002) were aired. The airing of Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla marks the first time in a very long time that Godzilla has seen the day after Thanksgiving in the New York area in a long time. However, Kong used to be reserved for Thanksgiving; the annual Thanksgiving Day of the Dead marathon took the spotlight on Monsters HD (followed by a mini-marathon of “turkeys”).

In other Thanksgiving marathon news, Fox Movie Channel had aired a multi-day marathon of the Planet of the Apes films; this includes the made-for-television films that consist of episodes of the popular television series edited together.
